Beautiful.. this reminds me of the meditation I do to try and sleep. Each night, I envision doors, and I go by each one, closing them to keep the thoughts out of my mind.
"You have to open up the doors in order to experience something new." Thus explaining having a closed and open mind.
I once read something interesting in a book concerning how people deal with their problems, also known as the "4 doors" Wanna hear more?
Like I've said in just about everything else, this is extremely beautiful, symbolic, awesome, and just plain breath taking!

This actually came from this fantasy book i'm reading currently, which you should read. Anyways, when we are faced with problems, it is believed that the 4 doors of our mind are used to cope with them.
1) The door of sleep. When you rest, your mind enters a state of subconsciousness, and dreams. After awakening, you feel refreshed. This works for some people, but sometimes it wont solve it, and the 2nd dorr is then used.
2) The door of Forgetting. There are memories that we simply wish to forget. If we dont think about it, it wont bother us, thus we try to stick our memories behind this door and close it. But sometimes, we think about them and it doesn't help, which leads to the 3rd door
3) The door of Insanity. Even when the other 2 fail, we enter our own fantasies and think that they are real, and become someone else, and our mind enters insanity in order to prevent the problems. And should these 3 fail, the 4th door may open....And if it does....
4) The door of Death. It is said that when you are dead, nothing can bother you. Or so it is said. (Creepy rhyme totally unintended)
Thats the rough idea anyways. Had to recite it from memory, since I don't have the book on me now.

I like the symbolism in that... and it is similar in some ways to things I have read... of course, i don't believe that nothing can bother you when you're dead... it becomes a different reality and things are perceived in different ways...
But thanks for sharing that... there is definitely some truth in it...
Yeah, I thought it was extremely symbolic. It comes from a Fantasy book though, so yeah. Its called The Name of the Wind. I recommend this book to everyone! Seriously, read it!!
I agree with you on death, though I do believe when we die, we will go to our heavenly father, and i'm sure you get the idea.
You're welcome P-san

i dig it. this is so typical Penelope i love it i really like the water on the floor ......just like my luck open a door and flood the house......or perhaps this is a metaphor for open ing the door and testing the water. any way it is a great manip done to only the highest quality that we have grown to expect from the great PenelopeT
